Our purpose
We created DFW Classical Accompaniments for musicians–beginners to advanced amateurs–who wish they had someone with whom to play, and for anyone that shares our love for classical chamber music.
We maintain a limited but well-curated collection of pieces for solo & piano as well as four-hand piano, mostly from the classical period.
Full-ensemble video recordings can be freely enjoyed by all visitors…
and, for members, your accompanist is no farther than your purse or pocket!
Membership
$10 USD, once, for everything
Site members get accompaniment tracks–audio of individual instruments–for each piece. This provides instant piano accompaniment (for soloists), or an instrumental soloist or fellow pianist for four-hand music (for piano players).
Depending on the piece, accompaniment tracks may be available in up to three different tempos:
- regular, or the standard speed at which the piece is performed
- medium, for incremental practice
- slow, for initial practice–or for beginners
These instrument recordings are not MIDI files synthesized by your device during playback; they are audio files generated from a superb-sounding Yamaha Clavinova CLP-series digital piano, and include tick sounds for synchronization. If the sound from your phone (or tablet, or PC) isn’t loud enough, simply pair it to an external speaker.
Membership also includes links to suggested sheet music sites specific to each piece. If we’ve found a score that is freely available–or if we produce in-house–, we also provide a PDF download.
To see what this all looks like, we’ve unlocked Mozart’s easy and fun Menuette Paysanne; try it out!
Payment
If this sounds like a fair deal and you’re ready to play… begin by clicking on the members-only button in any of the individual piece pages.

The first time you will be asked to make a $10 one-time payment and create a WordPress account. (We don’t like to have “yet another account” either, but it is a safe way to handle access to content, and we know WordPress to be a reputable website hosting company–used by some 30% of all internet sites. We hope you don’t mind).
That’s it! You will then have indefinite access to all protected content in this site.
A work in progress
The DFW Classical Accompaniments website had its inaugural launch in the Fall of 2020 with just a handful of pieces. Initially, membership is offered for $10–for everything, in perpetuity–with our appreciation for your support. While member agreements will always be honored, future pricing is subject to change… Raul is working hard to get things running, with a target repertoire of 100 pieces over the coming months; that’s a lot of playing and editing, and he’s really looking forward to it!

Thanks for patience and support.
